Hey! Super Mario Maker 2 has been out for a bunches of days now and I’ve decided to dive in this brand new edition before I completely miss my opportunity to jump on the bandwagon.
I’m currently working on a collection levels called Penny-Pincher Quest, to which two courses are already available. Instead of being action-packed, gameplay will focus on finding coins in puzzle-driven adventure segments. I want the experience to be relaxing. For this reason, I’ve decided not to add enemy ambushes to allow everyone to solve the riddles without any in-between frustration.
It’s not easy to building puzzles in Super Mario Maker due to a crazy amount of limitations. One level with a certain grade of quality can take several days to compose, but it’s totally worth it when it’s done and published.
Until I release a ‘real’ game, we can have fun together–that said if you own a Nintendo Switch.
Speaking of which, I’m also going to share levels from other unknown makers on my blog. Being a new maker myself, I understand the frustration of not being seen. What’s more, I think that popular levels on the network aren’t that great and the funniest ones I’ve experienced so far are in the depth. I hope I can help other makers to get new players.
Below you can find two initial levels of mine.
